DataBright has had a long history of building custom database solutions. Web browsers have become the way most clients access their data. There are many advantages, including the fact that browsers are loaded on to every computer and the ability to access data from anywhere.

Three separate strategies have arisen from this. The first is databases that are primiarily internal. These may manage inventory, do sales and order processing, project management, etc. They may have a component or two that is external. They may go as far as allowing clients to see the progress of a project, availablility of inventory, and other obvious needs. In other cases, clients may insist that no one outside the company know what inventory they have (a recent request).

The second strategy is to add database functionality to an existing web site. This could be the addition of a custom shopping cart, credit card processing, or online forums that allow people in their target market to talk to eachother. Without a database behind it, a web site is an expensive business card, and often does not live up to the expectations of the client.

The third strategy is new. This is a fully integrated site, designed with both internal and external access in mind.

We can talk about these databases but we can't show them all to you. We have to respect when our clients' strategies should not be shared. Where we do show you examples, the data appearing on forms will be ficticious.

Recent and Ongoing Work

Petersen-Dean Roofing
Petersen Dean is a large roofing company with offices across the country. They have 20 years experience producing projects in the residential and commercial fields.

The new system we built for them provides a wealth of information to their prospects.

It has a sophisticated content management system that allows them to create their own pages on the fly without coding.

It has the budgeting tools that allow a user to choose the materials for a roof, cost it out, review, upgrade and print their own warranty and pay their bill online.

It also has a special login for Builders where they can check the status of current projects, update specifications and pay their accounts receivable.

Beeline Group, Inc.
DataBright has been working with Beeline since 1989. The database we created manages all of the operations for the company. The database tables contain Clients, Vendors, Estimates, Work Orders, Job Costing, Time, Purchase Orders, Vendor Invoices, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Inventory and many other functions. We have watched their company grow from 6 employess to over 300. On the way they have worked for Sony, Nike, HP, Coca-Cola, Starbucks, Mondavi, Handspring, and many other notables. Of course, we'd love to take credit for their success...
You can visit them here.
Congressional Green Sheets
Green Sheets is an environmental news publication. They report on Congressional environmental activities. Their system contains 2 distinct sides. A public (external) side delivers stories dynamically from its database. There are no static pages. When you click on a story, or a day's full of stories, the information you see is retrieved, formatted for display and delivered in under a second. The second side is for internal administration. From here you can create stories to display on the public side, manage subscribers and their subscriptions as well as other administrative functions.
